Lyft
Lyft has products not just for riders and drivers, but also for big companies and local shops alike. But what does that look like in action?
Inspired by a real story, we wanted to showcase how an independent record store in Manhattan that delights their customers using Lyft. We created an organic campaign alongside an editorial experience to show the world that businesses can use Lyft products too.
Thanks to this proactive idea from the creative team, this was the first time Lyft’s business marketing team was armed with work like this. The sales team fell in love with the film and reported that showing, not just telling, real customer stories has made a tremendous impact on the way they pitch the Lyft product. Additionally, it’s opened up doors for imagining Lyft business opportunities (AKA more than just rides to and from the airport).
The best part of shooting in real record shop is its authentic feeling and vibrancy of culture. The worst part is most of that culture is licensed or copyright protected and our legal team wouldn't let us use any of it. So, we turned that problem into a creative opportunity. Using Lyft’s brand colors to tell a visual story, we created collection of custom designed and fake-titled album covers and concert posters.
