Creating a new digital experience for Ridge Vineyards

Brand immersion
To kick off the project, we toured all of Ridge's locations, learned the history of the 100+ year-old vines, brand, audience, and print marketing collateral. We asked questions and dug into what makes Ridge unique in its industry. Ridge rejected industrial processes from the start, yet the process has always remained highly analytical and scientific.
Iterative design process
We presented three design concepts with wireframe variations to the client, but there was a clear winner. The designs below with the sepia image treatment, plus the large photographs highlighting the the age of the knotted vines clearly communicated the age and history of Ridge Wines. I worked closely with our development team to enhance the experience with slow zoom interactions, which further emphasize the power and beauty of these healthy plants.
