Airbnb + Amex

Creating a landing page for a partnership with Airbnb and Amex

Amex needed to reach the younger demographic that Airbnb attracts and Airbnb needed to reach Amex's older and slightly wealthier customer base. Our solution was a visual landing page that spoke to both audiences with a CTA to book on Airbnb through Amex rewards points.

Process
Along with my copy partner, we identified the pain points around attracting each brand's demographic. There were two issues immediately identified: Amex lacked the ability to market sufficiently and there was a lack of brand awareness. Early data showed that only 10% of Amex’s demographic was aware of Airbnb. We knew we needed to include an educational module around how to easily book on Airbnb, in addition to explaining that Airbnb is a trusted platform. We also scoured the Airbnb photography library for fun, yet nice listings that would appeal to Amex's more affluent audience.
